1. Identify the severity of the problem

2. Become familiar with culture of first responders

3. Identify how being a first responder impacts the family unit

4. Distinguish between PTSD/PTSI and cumulative stress/ERES

5. Identify how department betrayal impacts first responders and PTS

1. Define 4 common types of first responders and describe various roles and jobs of each type

2. Gain knowledge of first responder culture and how to effectively apply this knowledge to clinical

practice.

3. Define professional trauma and identify three common psychological defense mechanisms

4. Learn to assess and identify first responder traumatic exposures, symptoms, and behaviors.

5. Learn how to assess, set up, and conduct a first responder specific session using EMDr.

1. Define what a disaster is, characteristics, and types. Learn about resilience as an outcome of

disaster. Learn about resilience and post-disaster outcomes

2. Learn the phase of disaster response within a community and common disaster reactions

3. Learn how to assess common emotional reactions to disaster. Learn the PsySTART color system.

Apply EMDR to disaster treatment.

$25 Fee by March 20, 2023

Workshop handouts will be emailed to paid registrants prior to the training. On-site printing and copying will not be available.

This workshop is approved for 4 EMDRIA credit hours. This is an EMDRIA approved training, you must be fully trained in EMDR to use these credits.

Full/Basic Training Required: This program is open to clinicians who have completed Full EMDR Training.

Upon registering attendee agrees to not make any type of electronic recording (e.g., audio, video) of the workshop or share workshop materials with any other person.

CANCELLATION POLICY 

Your registration fee less a $5 fee will be refunded to you if requested by 12:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 19th. No refunds, cancellations or person to person transfers will be made after March 20, 2023. Registrants who partially attend the workshop or do not complete the training will not receive a refund. Cancellation requests must be made by sending an email to timmathialpc@gmail.com

ACCOMMODATIONS FOR THE DIFFERENTLY ABLED
